The needle is much smaller than what is used for your vaccinations, so you may not even notice when he inserts the needle. We understand that some patients may be uncomfortable with any injection, though, so we can apply a topical numbing cream if needed. In about 60 minutes, your nose is free of imperfections, and you can simply continue on with your day. You may have some tenderness, swelling and discomfort after the procedure. These symptoms are localized to the injection sites and resolve within 24 to 48 hours. You can apply ice packs or use non-prescription pain medication if needed.
