What is Emergency Care for ENT Issues?

Emergency care refers to the after-hours treatment of chronic or severe ear, nose and throat conditions. A few conditions that could require emergency care include:

  • A nose bleed that will not stop
  • Sudden hearing loss
  • Facial fractures
  • Facial paralysis
  • Extreme dizziness
  • Injury or damage to the head
  • Difficulty breathing and/or swallowing

Benefits of Emergency Care

Emergency treatment is often needed to prevent problems from becoming even more serious or to relieve extreme discomfort.

How is Emergency Care Performed?

That will depend on the type of treatment you require. If you need emergency care, please contact our office for further instructions.

Preparing For Emergency Care

There may not be time to prepare for emergency treatment; however, we do request that you bring any current medications with you and have someone available to drive you home from your appointment if possible.

Emergency Care Recovery

Each type of treatment results in a different recovery period. You will be given instructions on what to do during your recovery period upon discharge.

How Much Does Emergency Care Cost?

The cost of emergency care fluctuates based on what is necessary to bring your condition under control. If you need emergency care, the last thing you should be worried about is the cost, which is why we accept most health insurance plans. We also offer the ability to pay through cash, personal checks, major credit cards and CareCredit® financing to ensure treatment is as affordable as possible.

Is Emergency Care Right for Me?

If you are suffering from a chronic condition or injury of the ear, nose or throat, do not delay seeking treatment. Serious complications including hearing loss could develop if you wait.
