Belotero® in Princeton and Monroe, NJ
Not everyone needs extensive correction for the signs of aging. Many dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid to treat lines and wrinkles. But when it comes to the finer, smaller lines on your face, not all dermal fillers are created alike. Belotero® contains a special formulation that is specifically designed to reduce fine lines, and Dr. Scott Kay, FACS, a board-certified New Jersey otolaryngologist, is proud to offer this unique product at his Central New Jersey area office, which serves the communities of Princeton, Monroe and Plainsboro.
What is Belotero®?
Many dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid (HA), a natural substance that maintains the volume of young, healthy skin. Most of the HA fillers, though, are designed to reduce lines, wrinkles and creases. When these products are used to treat superficial fine lines, the results can be less than perfect. Belotero® stands apart from other HA dermal fillers because it is designed to treat smaller fine lines.
Benefits of Belotero®
We recommend Belotero® to our patients because the product:
- Treats the smallest fine lines with natural looking results
- Is a minimally invasive treatment
- Takes less than one hour per appointment
- Contains hyaluronic acid that occurs naturally in the body
How is Belotero® Administered?
The procedure for your Belotero® treatment is based on the specific formulation of your anti-aging needs. The primary difference between the formulations is the depth of the injections. If Dr. Kay recommends deeper injections, a topical anesthesia can be applied to your skin. All treatments, though, only require a fine gauge needle, so the sensation is typically more comfortable than vaccinations. Dr. Kay makes several injections into your lines and wrinkles until he achieves the desired effect.
Preparing for Belotero®
Belotero® is a minimally invasive treatment that does not require any special preparation. You simply call our Plainsboro office to schedule your appointment. With the treatment taking less than one hour, the appointment fits easily into any schedule.
The injections may cause some localized tenderness, redness, bruising and swelling. These symptoms are usually very mild. You may want to apply ice to the injection sites to alleviate any discomfort. Symptoms usually only last for one to two days.
How Much Does Belotero® Cost?
Belotero® treatments are customized to the needs of each patient. The cost of treatment is based on the number of injections per appointment. We provide a total cost after your consultation. You can pay for Belotero® treatments by personal check, cash, credit card and CareCredit® financing.

What to Expect During Your Consultation for Belotero®
During your Belotero® consultation with Dr. Kay, he examines your face and neck area to determine the origination of your lines and wrinkles. Many of his patients do not need or want surgery, so he first recommends minimally invasive treatments, such as Belotero®. If you agree with his recommendation, he chooses one of three Belotero® formulations for your treatments.
Fine lines are some of the most challenging cosmetic concerns to treat. Most dermal fillers will over treat the area. Belotero® is uniquely formulated to treat smaller fine lines. If you would like to eliminate your fine lines without surgery, contact our Central New Jersey area office to schedule your personal consultation with board-certified New Jersey otolaryngologist Dr. Scott Kay, FACS.
