Arthritis Patients Should be Screened for Hearing Loss- The Hearing Review- June 2016

Rheumatoid Arthritis affects 1% of the general population and can also impact other systems of the body, including the auditory system.  Sensorineural hearing loss is the most common type of health related issue in RA patients.  According to The Open Rheumatology Journal, an article was published in January 206 and found that there is a 25-72% prevalence of hearing loss in RA patients.
